Places two teams in top three!
October 21, 2007 - Mock Trial at UVa got its season off to an excellent start this Sunday, with team 973 winning the University of Richmond's 3rd Annual Spider Invitational and team 972 taking 3rd place. The tournament took place over three days, from Friday October 19 to Sunday October 21.
Alex Boyajian also took home an Outstanding Witness award, for his performance on the Defense side of the case.
Team 973 faced stiff competition, splitting Round 1 against the George Washington University before winning against Fordham University and two rounds against Washington and Lee University. 972 hit Georgetown University twice, as well as Mount St. Mary University and the George Washington University.
Mock Trial at UVa looks forward to its next tournament, the Great American Mock Trial Invitational, taking place on November 3rd and 4th at the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington, D.C.
