Steven is originally from Staten Island, NY. He was a member of the program during 2005-06 and 2007-08, and was a member of the team that won the program's first of two consecutive national championships. During his two years as a competitor, Steven won three outstanding witness awards. Steven is a doctor, who attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.
