Brian graduated from UVA Law School in 2014 and served as an assistant coach for all three years. Before coming to Virginia, Brian competed in mock trial for eight years, including four at the University of Georgia. In his two years as president of Georgia Mock Trial, the program improved from 81st to third in the country, missing out on the National Championship round by a tiebreaker in 2011. Brian also founded the Classic City Mock Trial Invitational and won a dozen attorney awards while in college. While in law school, Brian also was s a member of the law school's trial advocacy and moot court teams. He currently works for a law firm in Atlanta.
