Ben is originally from Wilmington, Delaware. He was a member of the program from 2008 until 2012, including the two years in which both program teams finished in the top ten at back-to-back national championship tournaments for the first time in program history. As a competitor, Ben won more individual awards than any person in the history of Virginia Mock Trial, including 16 attorney awards and 2 witness awards, and he was named an All-American Attorney at the 2011 National Championship Tournament. Ben also served as a team captain during his third and fourth years, the program's Treasurer during his second year, the program's Vice President for Fundraising during his third year, and the program's Executive Vice President during his fourth year. Following graduation from college, Ben worked at the Department of Justice and attended Yale Law School. He currently works as a lawyer in DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel.
