Michael is the current President of the program, a third-year born and raised in Henrico, Virginia, but who always just says he’s from Richmond. He thinks no one knows where he’s actually from—or more importantly, how to pronounce it (is it hen-ree-co or hen-rye-co?) It’s his third year doing collegiate mock trial, after doing three years of high school mock trial. If you’re wondering why he’s still here, he does it for the money. 

Michael is an English and American Studies major who finally settled after two years of trials and tribulations—Media Studies, Politics, WGS, Chemistry (yes, Chemistry)—but is more than happy where he’s landed. 

When not doing mock trial, Michael’s probably going to a concert (he’s seen Beyoncé; Tyler, the Creator; Doechii; Hozier; and Malcolm Todd all in one year) or trying to figure out why his car’s engine light is on. Or, he’s binge watching Steven Universe for the 5th time. Michael’s also probably with his cat, Smokey, and yes, he will totally let you see a picture.

Michael is looking forward to VaMT’s best year yet!
